After a 3 hour root canal last week, my dentist then decided the tooth needs to just get pulled. So I spent 3 hours upside down, unable to breathe with this latex mask over my mouth(for $600 by the way), only to find out that it was a complete waste of time and money.
At 1pm this afternoon, I am getting my #2 tooth pulled, and since they are going in there anyway they are also pulling out that wisdom tooth, the #1 tooth, even though it is perfectly fine, sitting under the gum line, looking pristine. I wish I could save that tooth, and use it like a spare tire.
I mean, why couldn't you? Its my tooth, my body wouldn't reject a transplant from itself... plus none of my wisdom teeth ever got impacted, nor did they sprout... so in theory, I have 4 beautiful back-up teeth, hanging out like Captain America's Bucky.
Bucky appeared to have died decades ago, but when Captain America died, Bucky came back and took his job (after Captain America's assassination by Sharon Carter in Captain America #25).
Why can't I put a Bucky Barnes in where they are destroying my Steve Rogers?!?!?!
PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY I CAN'T DO THAT?!

i wish there weren't ants swarming my potato salad. and no, its not a metaphor. i hate them crawling bastards.
but anyways, i'm just checking, since its been a while. not employed yet, still just sitting around killing time, endlessly toiling heading to the tunnels end, where they keep the lights turned on, despite their electric bill.

I'm at school, yes the friday after thanksgiving, I'm the only one here besides the college security people.
I'm in the magazine office waiting for this thing to print so I can create a new table of contents for this fucking thing.
I thought I was finally done with all this crap, but the printer called to tell me that I needed to move all the colour pages together in one section, because they won't print the color pages out of order. I tried putting the color pages throughout the book, we are only paying for 16 color pages, which is 4 sheets of paper, and so I put one dead center, and then every 8-10 pages after so we had the illusion of color throughout. meh.
so I'm here all alone in the building which is kinda cool, I'm blasting music right now, and there is no one here to complain, so WIN!
I've also been watching Dr. Who episodes like crazy. I love it. Since the 3rd season is already over in Britain, I've been watching the dr. who spin-off Torchwood, which features an unkillable man that Rose Tyler brought back to life in Dr. Who, and this guy got his own show which is like an X-files type thing. Well its like if X-Files and Doctor Who had a big sci-fi orgy and then had a Welsh television show pop out nine months later.
I dunno, this thing is done printing so I'm gonna jet.

after three long WoW-less weeks I finally picked up another account card so for the next 58 days Druidchez will be tearing up the Gurubashi server.
I'm working as the production editor for the COD art and literary magazine the Prarie Light Review. It is sucking up all my time, and I hates it precious, but it goes to the printer this week, so after Thursday I shall get my free-time back.

Back to school, back to school.
I'm typing this in the magazine lab, where i shall be hanging out until my next class starts at 6.
I'm listening to this new Modest Mouse, and I love it.
Jesus and I were listening to it together and he said that at a certain point Isaac Brock starts to sound alot like Brak from the Brak Show... So we now refer to him as Isaac Brak.
But its still awesome.

Modest Mouse -=- Spitting Venom |
] |
Modest Mouse's new album was released today, and you should buy it.
They are increasing in their poppiness, but there are still some great songs on there... I'm listening to track 12:"Spitting Venom" right now, and it is amazing.
Borders has both versions on sale, I got the cheaper of the two. The more expensive one is $19.99, and has a cardboard box with a paper CD case and a 32 page picture booklet. I got the $14.99 plastic CD case. There are no bonus songs or anything on the more expensive one, and I hate the paper CD holder... they always get banged up, and the corners fray. If it was plastic, I might have bought the more expensive one just so I could stare at pretty pictures of my favorite band.

[Wednesday

While I'm busy with being, let me pull on my stockings and have a little yammer.
Today we are covering the evil that is "department". "Department" is a trick to lure you in. The sole operative of [super store] is to get you through the door to then convince you that you need, NEED(!) everything ever, even if it has no practical use, because they offer it at such a low low price.
I know we are all not as close as we could be, but I'm willing to bridge that gap... and as a show of faith, I will now admit to you, dear reader, that I, Mr. Socks, was tricked into buying a hamster, dead of night, in [super store] because it was cute.
There. I said it. I bought a hamster because it was cute. Not because I needed a hamster -- no, I have no hamster void, but simply... cute, fuzzy, and in [super store] when I had a couple extra bucks.
Your turn. Tell me your sekretysekrety as a handshake on our allegiance.

It would be funny if a woman had a wooden tit, wouldn't it? I was having this really great conversation about dark haired tree-girls (or somesuch) when I decided to be coy and just log the fuck off. The thing about trees is, sometimes they need a good chopping karate before they become proper firewood. And if not firewood, you'd have to strip them for planks... but I am bored with boards. Saplings, not quite trees, burn up too quickly -- they do make nice kindling, but fall short on long winter nights.
What do you really want? I want tree-girls, crowned with ravens, wrapped in leafy-green sweaters... tall redwood trunks covered by smooth, pale crepe myrtle bark. I want to strip-mine and theirs. I route the root, capisci?
And now, some nonsense!

I hated that they fucked up the whole concept of the 1990 movie, but it was still a pretty good time.
In other news, Shamanchez and I are totally broke, but thats fine... We have skills, its true, SKILLS AND A HUGE FUCKING AXE.

so i got home from class, and i was going to study for my history exam... instead i ran around in Warcraft with Jer... then watched the 2 most recent episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm with Craig and Dana, and now I'm here. On livejournal. Still not doing what I should be.
I'm waking up at 6am, so I can have some coffee and memorize 210 pages of a history text book. DAMN YOU WORLD WARS!!! If the nations could just get the fuck along, I wouldn't have to care about learning anything that happened before my birth.
Live in the now. Or in the World of Warcraft, because thats way cooler.
I'm going to procrastinate for a few more hours, and then unproductively go to bed.
On a completely related note, I think I'm going to start believing in some sort of god, so I have someone to blame my failures on, and someone to praise for my successes... I'm thinkin about Loki, because if anyone can help me get through college, its going to be the Norse god of Lies.
So everyone send some worship Loki's way, so I can get through this damn semester.
